Yuma, AZ - Police in Yuma are asking for your help to identify a shoplifting suspect who they say pulled a knife when confronted by a store employee. On Tuesday at about 2:40 p.m. the Yuma Police Department responded to Hastings located at 2820 S. 4th avenue for a report of a shoplift in progress with a knife.
Police say when they arrived they discovered employees of Hastings had attempted to stop the suspect and there was a struggle. During the struggle the suspect pulled out a knife and fled westbound on his bicycle.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 35-40 years old, about 5'7", and about 170 pounds. The suspect had short black hair, a black mustache, and black and white goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue muscle shirt, dark blue shorts, and a blue mesh hat.
