Four police cars burned in the Desert Southwest

Posted: Updated:

Mexicali--Four police cars go up in flames in the Desert Southwest.

This comes after another threat is made towards the ministerial police in Mexicali.

They said the police cars were set on fire with gasoline early this morning. The fires were set in different areas of the city.

One burning police car was reported near the international border. Ministerial police said no arrests have been made and the case remains under investigation.

On Tuesday, three banners intended for police were hung from a bridge in Mexicali. Police said they were able to decipher it as a threat.

In August, two severed pig heads were left outside a Mexicali's state police sub-station. They said each pig head had a note stuck to the forehead with a knife.

Each note contained the last name of two police officers who currently work with the investigative unit.
