YCFB Vies for $50,000 for Backpack Program

Posted:

YUMA - The Yuma Community Food Bank is trying to get a $50,000 Golden Spark Award, and they need your help.

To help them out, all you have to do is go to walmart.com/hunger. You can do it everyday until October 14th. The money goes to the local Backpack Program, which gives nutritional food to school kids, who might not otherwise have it on the weekends.

Mike Ivers of the Yuma Community Food bank says the money would go a long way to bringing the program to local school kids who need it.
