Exclusive Interview with the slain Yuma doctor's family

Yuma, AZ- "I definitely feel better, I think justice has prevailed, but we still feel his loss," said Jagdish Gill, Satinder's older brother.

Jagdish and the Gill family have all been very involved throughout the Preston Strong Trial.

They have spent many days in the court room listening to testimony, they were also present for closing arguments and the verdict.

"It was such a relief to have the verdict and now the whole case is behind us. You saw us in the court room, we were all in tears. It was so emotional for us," said Jean Gill, Satinder's sister-in-law.

Jagdish says it was hard not knowing who was responsible for his brothers murder for nearly 5 years.

"It was agonizing not knowing and you always start having doubts that you may not get justice."

The Gill family is from out of state, and part of the Gill family lives India. Jagdesh tells News 13 he hasn't been able to tell their mother about what happened.

"Till this day we haven't told my mother. She is 90 years old and has health issues. She wouldn't be able to handle it."

Jagdish says they told their mom Satinder died due to heart problems. The family says they will forever miss Satinder gill, and they say he will always have a place in their hearts.

As for Preston Strong, they hope he gets the maximum punishment which would be life in prison. His hearing is scheduled for next month.
