Bumble Bee Foods Employee Cooked to Death

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. - A Bumble Bee Foods Employee is cooked alive at the companies seafood processing plant in Sante Fe Springs California.

According to spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office 62-year-old Jose Melena, a pallet jacket operator, was accidentally cooked in a device described as a pressure cooker.

Melena's family and a workplace safety investigators are searching for answers in what led to the death. The victims son, says the company has given the family no information about how he died.
 
Bumble Bee reopened the plant on Monday. The company did not immediately answer questions about how the six year employee was killed.
 
The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health is also investigating.
