Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents arrest gang member and seize drugs

YUMA, AZ - Border Patrol agents from the Yuma sector seize thousands of dollars in drugs and arrest a gang member in separate incidents over the weekend.

Saturday evening agents patrolling near Andrade, California saw four people illegally entering the U.S.

They say one of the four people arrested is an MS-13 gang member from Honduras.

They also say he had previously been deported in April of this year.

And Saturday morning agents patrolling near Gila Bend spotted two individuals walking in the desert carrying large backpacks.

Agents arrested both suspects and discovered the backpacks were full of marijuana with an estimate value of $33,000.

Border Patrol says everyone arrested will be prosecuted.
