YPD: Weapon used in shooting near Jimmie Dee's bar recovered

YUMA, AZ - Yuma Police are hoping someone will step forward to help them solve a deadly shooting.

Yuma Police say two groups of people got into an argument in Jimmie Dee's bar last Friday before taking it outside.

Verbal challenges quickly escalated into physical violence. That's when Frankie Salazar Junior was fatally shot.

YPD says no one has said anything to identify the gunman but they say they have the weapon.

Detectives don't believe everyone interviewed has been completely forthcoming with their information.

Anyone with information is asked to call Yuma Police at (928) 373-4678 or 78-crime to remain anonymous.
