More than 200 pounds of marijuana wound up in a local canal after a chase from law enforcement.
Wednesday night the County Sheriff's Department tried to pull over a Ford Explorer but the driver took off.
Border Patrol agents blew out more than one of the car's tires and it crashed into a canal in the 14000 block of Levee Road near the U.S.-Mexico border.
The people inside the car were able to get away and ran into Mexico.
Approximately 235 pounds of marijuana were seized with an estimated street value of more than $70,000.
