YUMA, AZ - Table-4-Two, a new Yuma business with the goal of playing cupid held its first speed dating event Thursday night.
Last spring, Yuma was ranked the worst place in the United States for singles to live by Kiplinger.com. Now Table-4-Two is trying to change that idea.
A number of single people showed up ready to mingle at Julieanna's Patio Café. Each person was escorted to a table for two and began the dating process. With only five minutes per date participants wasted no time asking questions about who is sitting across from them.
Table-4-Two was started by three Yuma girls, all sisters, who say they just want to give locals a place to potentially meet other single people.
Monique Morales a first time speed dater says she's happy she showed up and who knows where it will lead. She tells News 13 "It was good. I talked with a lot of genuine people. It was fun and I would definitely come back."
Table-4-Two's next event will be Wednesday at Julieanna's Patio Café. For more information visit Table-4-two.com.
