Nearly half a million dollars intercepted at Calexico Port of Entry

CALEXICO, CA - U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at the Calexico Downtown Port of Entry stopped a car going to Mexico with nearly half a million dollars of undeclared money.

It happened at outbound operations Monday afternoon.

The 28-year-old driver did not tell officers he had more then $10,000 in his car.

They found nine vacuum sealed packages containing the $450,000.

The man was arrested. The money and the car were seized.
