Yuma--Nearly 200 local high school and college students are getting a taste of what community leadership is all about.
Highschool and college students in Yuma County took part in the "Arizona Youth Town Hall on Civic Leadership."
This forum gives students the opportunity to gather and craft solutions which will help change the future of their community and Arizona.
Students were connected to the Arizona Students Association, Arizona Town Hall and the Maricopa Community Colleges via a live feed from Arizona State University.
A summary of today's sessions will be sent to Arizona Town Hall for in inclusion in a statewide report.
"I hope to gain a better sense of leadership," Hans Rodriguez, a Cibola High School senior said. "I hope to gain a better sense of leadership in my community."
Students were also encouraged to tweet about today's event with other students throughout the state to help generate excitement.
