Yuma, AZ- Arizona Senator John McCain and Jon Kyle visit Yuma to promote Republican candidate Jeff Flake for Kyl's vacant senate seat.
With Election Day right around the corner, Republican candidate for the United States Senate, Jeff Flake makes his rounds in Yuma County asking the public for their votes.
Today he brought friends to a town hall style meeting.
"If anybody knows what we need to do to stop this multi-trillion dollar debt we are leaving for our children is Jeff Flake," said U.S. Senator John McCain.
Over a hundred people gathered at the Booth Machinery to hear what Arizona Senators John McCain and Jon Kyl had to say about the candidate.
Both Senator McCain and Kyl endorse the 6 term republican congressman over his opponent Richard Carmona.
Senator Kyl who is finishing his 3rd and final term in January tells News 13 he thinks Flake is the best candidate to work together with John McCain for Arizona's future.
"I've been coming to Yuma for 18 years. I have great friends here. I know the issues and it's important to me that the right person takes my place, and I can't think of a better person than Jeff Flake," said Senator Kyl
Senator McCain agrees.
"Jeff Flake is a strong fiscal conservative. He stood up against his own party when it came to earmarks and wasteful spending. He understand our issues and the economy and he's a strong supporter of the military," said Senator McCain.
In September Carmona was leading Flake 44% to 39% with 16% undecided.
In the most recent Rasmussen poll Flake is leading by about 5%
