Yuma Halloween event educates youth - | News for Yuma, Imperial Valley, El Centro, AZ & CA

YUMA, AZ - The parking lot of a local library is transformed to give kids a chance to meet local law enforcement and first responders.

We're a day shy of Halloween but some families got dressed up and got in on some fun and games outside the main branch of the Yuma County Library.

Yuma Police and Fire Department, among other agencies, handed out sweet treats and let kids get an up-close look at their gear.

But today's main focus was to educate the community.

The annual event is put on by the Yuma County Adult Probation Office.
