YUMA - People in the desert southwest are standing behind thousands of storm victims in the eastern United States. The American Red Cross is taking donations.

To make a donation through the American Red Cross, you can call your local chapter.

Andretta Schellinger of the American Red Cross says those who cannot afford to give financially might want to consider donating blood at their next local blood drive to help victims of future disasters. People can also volunteer their time.
