YUMA, AZ - Tyre Hendrix appeared frustrated this afternoon as Judge Jorge Lozano read the charges filed against him by the state.
Judge Lozano said "Count one attempted second degree murder, a class two felony. The state alleged on Oct. 28, 2012 you knew the conduct would cause death or serious physical injury you did then and there attempt to cause the death of Fernando Gonzalez."
Hendrix was also charged with two additional counts of attempted second degree murder in regards to two other victims. Three counts of aggravated assault and one count of a drive by shooting. All charges stem from his alleged involvement in shooting up a Yuma neighborhood in the area of 5th street and 10th Avenue around 3 a.m. Sunday.
Officers say he then took deputies on a pursuit before crashing through a gate and driving his vehicle into the west main canal. Judge Lozano entered a plea of not guilty on behalf of Hendrix. The 21-year old stated he had hired an attorney to represent him.
Hendrix's bond remains at $500,000. He will appear in court again next Week.
