Marijuana bust near Gila Bend - | News for Yuma, Imperial Valley, El Centro, AZ & CA

Yuma--U.S. Border Patrol agents from Yuma sector's Wellton station seized approximately 437 pounds of marijuana during separate incidents.

Agents patrolling near Gila Bend, arrested six suspects who were traveling on foot and carrying backpacks filled with marijuana.

The pot's estimated street value was $101,000.

The contraband was seized and six suspects are being processed for prosecution.

On Friday, agents in the same area arrested four people also traveling on foot carrying bundles of pot.

The pot's estimated street value was nearly $120,000.

The marijuana and suspects were turned over to Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
