YUMA - Nothing is safer than trick-or-treating with the Yuma Police Department, and tonight that's what a lot of people did. YPD hosted their Third Annual "Scary and Safe Trick or Treat" at the Yuma Territorial Prison. It ran from 5:30 to 8:30 this evening. Those who dared ventured through the prison cells, which were the perfect backdrops for the annual scare-fest.
Sergeant Leanne Worthen of YPD says it gives families a fun and safe venue to take their kids trick or treating.
Proceeds from tonight's one-dollar admission fee benefit the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics and Special Olympics Yuma.
