YUMA, AZ - Red Cross representatives wrapped up a two-day Sandy relief drive in Yuma Thursday.
They partner with the City of Yuma and were at the Yuma Palms Shopping Center taking monetary donations.
They say there are currently 115 shelters open in nine states across the east coast, sheltering about 7,000 people.
Andretta schellinger, Red Cross Representative, says they are in dire need of donations. She says that Thursday alone, they collected about $350.
And if you weren't able to make it out to the relief drive, you can still donate.
There are several ways you can help.
One of the ways is by texting the words "Red Cross" to 90999.
Also, if you have relatives in the east coast and you can't get a hold of them, you can try searching them by going to www.redcross.org and see if they have checked into one of the shelters.
