EL CENTRO - As the east coast begins rebuilding after the devastation left behind by Sandy, a local utility company is lending a hand.
Thirty Imperial Irrigation District employees will be traveling to New York and New Jersey to help restore power to the estimated 4.6 million people still in the dark.
The workers will help replace power poles and re-string power lines. The workers left today (Thursday). They're expected to be gone about 2 weeks.
