Sex offender has new Somerton address

SOMERTON, AZ- A sex offender has a new address in Yuma County.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office says 40 year old Jesus Perez is now living at 647 S Bingham Avenue in Somerton.

In 1993, Perez was convicted of attempted sexual abuse.

He and a 13 year old victim had consensual sex at a motel in Yuma, after attending a party where alcohol was served.

In 2003, Perez was charged for failing to register as a sex offender.

YCSO says Perez has a high risk to reoffend.
