YUMA, AZ - The two candidates in Arizona's U.S. Senate race are playing to their strengths as the contest enters its final days.
Democrat Richard Carmona is reaching out to independents and Hispanics, two key voting blocs that could help him pull off an upset.
Doctor Carmona was in Yuma this afternoon at the Yuma County Democratic Party Headquarters on 4th Avenue for a "Get out the Vote" rally.
During his visit, Doctor Carmona spoke about many important issues in the Desert Southwest, like unemployment and immigration.
Doctor Carmona was in town as part of a statewide tour today.
His opponent, Republican Jeff Flake, is calling in presidential hopeful Mitt Romney to help close his argument for victory with the state's conservative-leaning electorate.
Both candidates are vying to fill the seat now held by retiring senator Jon Kyl.
