YUMA, AZ - Dog owners and their four legged friends gathered at the Humane Society of Yuma's new shelter Saturday.

Halloween may be over, but that didn't stop K-9's from dressing up for the 6th Annual Walk and Wag.

The free event featured a costume contest, a 1/2 mile walk around the new shelter and a variety of demos for dog owners and their companions.

Cookie Wagner from HSOY says the purpose of the event was to raise money for the new shelter. She says they expect to move into the shelter by the end of November and open up to the public by mid December.
