San Luis police lieutenant indicted by grand jury for stalking

Yuma--The grand jury has indicted a former police lieutenant for stalking a teenager.

41-year old Gerardo Torres is accused of stalking his alleged victim from May of last year until the beginning of this year.

The former San Luis police lieutenant was charged with one felony count of stalking last month.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Court documents said Torres contacted the 19-year old female at her work place and continuously followed her home after she left work.

Torres has been out on bond.

San Luis PD said Torres has not been with the department since June.

They could not comment if he was fired or resigned from San Luis PD
