Solomon voted in as new El Centro Mayor

EL CENTRO, CA- The City of El Centro has a new Mayor.

Mayor Pro-Tem Ben Solomon took the reigns from Mayor Sedalia Sanders in a City Council meeting Thursday evening.

City Council members, Jason Jackson, Cheryl Viegas-Walker and Efrain Silva all voted unanimously in favor of the newly appointed mayor.

The change comes on the heels of Sanders completing her 5th term as Mayor.

Mr. Solomon says that he is excited to be the Mayor of the city he grew up in.

Solomon previously served as the Mayor of El Centro from December of 2008 to December of 2009.
