New Calexico Unified School District Superintendent named

CALEXICO, CA - The Calexico Unified School District welcomed their new superintendent.

During the school board meeting last night school officials introduced Maria Ambriz as the new superintendent.

She is filling the vacancy left by former superintendent Richard Fragale. He resigned after his request for a pay increase was rejected by the school board.

Ambriz will serve as the district's superintendent for the remainder of the academic year.
