CALEXICO, CA - At least seven people are in jail after a five-month long sting operation at a local business.
The Calexico Police Department says they started an investigation in July after receiving complaints about drugs being sold at Mike's Place Bar.
The bar is located at 18 East 2nd Street in Calexico.
Police say the Imperial County Narcotic Task Force sent undercover agents into the bar and they were able to buy methamphetamine and cocaine from the bar's security manager, Gilberto Murray Prado.
Yesterday, officers served a search warrant at the business, which lead to two more arrests.
CPD says two of the people arrested in the case have already pleaded guilty to drug charges.
A copy of the investigation will be forwarded to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control in hopes of shutting the bar down.
