UPDATE: Police: Calexico man kills mother, attacks sister

CALEXICO, CA- A man is behind bars after he brutally attacked his mother, killing her. Police say his sister suffered a minor cut on her neck.

Calexico police say they found 31 year old Jose Antonio Cisneros jumping and yelling on a vehicle outside a home in 1000 block of F. Torres Street Tuesday morning.

They say officers went to the home after a 911 call came in just after 9:30 am of woman crying.

Police say Cisneros wouldn't respond to their commands so they were forced to taser him. They say he had a knife in his possession.

They say Cisneros mother was found in the garage with major head trauma. She later died at the hospital. CPD says Cisneros sister and a 7 year old were upstairs inside the home. The woman was treated and released from the hospital for the cut on her neck. The child was not injured.

Police Cisneros was possibly under the influence of meth.

He remains behind bars on $1 million bond.

Cisneros is facing two charges for homicide and attempted homicide.
