More than double the plates served at Salvation Army this year

EL CENTRO, CA - The Thanksgiving spirit is being spread all over the Desert Southwest today.

Festivities at the El Centro Salvation Army started at 11am.

Those in need were treated to a delicious turkey dinner.

Organizers say they served 1,800 plates, more than double the number of plates they served last year.

The Salvation Army staff says everyone was extremely thankful.
