Nicolas Amarillas
YUMA, AZ- A man who opened fire at a house party over the Thanksgiving weekend is behind bars charged with attempted murder.
The Yuma County Sheriff's Office says 44 year old Nicolas Amarillas fired at least a dozen shots at another man.
The two got into an argument.
Deputies say Amarillas left the party, then returned a short time later with a hand-gun and started firing off shots.
The male victim took cover behind a truck and did not get hit.
Amarillas also faces several other charges including aggravated assault.
Seventeen other people were also at the party at the time of the shooting.
