YUMA, AZ- The man who crashed a stolen pick-up truck into a Yuma police car will spend three and a half years in prison.
Christian Michael Silva pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, theft of transportation, unlawful flight from law enforcement and criminal damage.
Judge David Haws sentenced him Wednesday morning for his crime spree that happened in August. The crime spree included Silva ramming a stolen truck into a Yuma police K-9 unit after the officer attempted to pull him over. Silva then fled the scene and crashed into a tree nearby.
The officer inside of the police car did not suffer injuries.
