El Centro Police arrest attempted murder suspect

EL CENTRO, CA - An El Centro man is behind bars for attempted murder.

It happened just before 1pm Wednesday afternoon in the area of 7th Street and Woodward Avenue.

El Centro Police say 39-year-old Anthony Covera stabbed a 25-year-old man repeatedly.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The motive for the stabbing is not known. El Centro Police continue to investigate.
