El Centro man arrested for human smuggling

EL CENTRO, CA - A police raid in El Centro Thursday morning, leads officers to seven illegal immigrants who were being smuggled into the country.

Police arrested 56-year old Sergio Rodriguez. He lives in the 300 block of Eucalyptus Avenue.

Rodriguez faces federal smuggling charges.

He hid the illegal immigrants inside of a trailer - parked on his property.

Police also found methamphetamines in the house.

Officers booked Rodriguez into the Imperial County Jail. He is being held without bail.
