BP agent hires two attorneys to represent him in drug smuggling case

YUMA, AZ - A new development in the case of the Yuma Sector Border Patrol Agent arrested for drug smuggling.

KSWT News 13 has learned Aaron Anaya has now hired two attorney's to represent him.

The FBI says surveillance video shows Anaya loading bundles of marijuana that were tossed over the fence by three men near Wellton, AZ.

According to the federal complaint, agents found 147 pounds of pot in his patrolling unit.

It says when agents moved in to arrest him Anaya told his fellow agents "I'm [expletive], you guys got me on video."

Anaya has been charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and carrying a firearm while committing a crime.

He will be back in court next week.
