CA State Route 111 will be closed from Dec. 7 – Dec. 11 - | News for Yuma, Imperial Valley, El Centro, AZ & CA

Caltrans is replacing an old bridge on a portion of State Route 111 in the vicinity east of the Salton Sea. SR-111 will be closed to traffic during this work between the communities of Niland in the south and Mecca to the north on: Friday, December 7 starting at 7 a.m. through Tuesday, December 11, at 7 a.m.

Because this is a stretch of highway without easily-accessible parallel roads, traffic will be detoured from the north and south to the west side of the Salton Sea along SR-86. Add additional time to your travel to accommodate this detour.
