YUMA, AZ - Yesterday we reported about drugs being propelled across the border with a cannon.
Today, we're learning about yet another way drug smugglers are getting narcotics into the U.S.
Border Patrol says drug smugglers dropped packages from an ultra light flying over the border from Mexico.
It happened just after 1am Wednesday morning near the Calexico Downtown Port of Entry.
U.S. Border Patrol says the aircraft dropped 300 pounds of pot valued at nearly a quarter of a million dollars.
Agents who saw the ultra light fly over from Mexico found a car with the engine running loaded with the bundles of marijuana.
Both the car and pot were seized.
