Update: Community helps Yuma man who lost it all in a homefire

Posted: Updated:

We've got an update for you on the money being raised for the Sam's Club employee whose house was completely destroyed by fire last Sunday.

Tony Gianopoulos was lucky to get out of his house as the flames spread quickly.

His son, Demetrius, tells KSWT News 13 that the community has pulled together and raised more than $5,000 to help his father in this time of tragedy.

Demetrius also told KSWT that one very kind person donated a car to his father.

Right now, Sam's Club is still collecting donations during regular business hours.

We will continue to follow the story and keep you updated.

That Sam's Club is located at:
1462 S. Pacific Ave.
Yuma, AZ 85365

Hours:
Monday - Saturday 9am - 9pm
Sunday 10am - 6pm
