Sunset community health center to get new mobile unit

Yuma--Sunset Community Health Center will soon have a pediatric mobile unit to provide care for uninsured school children.

The clinic has been awarded nearly half a million dollars through the Affordable Care Act Grant.

The unit and equipment will allow the clinic to reach all schools in Yuma County.

Sunset currently has a small medical van but they say the bigger unit will allow them to provide more services.

They also plan to bring healthcare for school children in Tacna and Dateland.

As of right now, Sunset will be looking at competitive bids and hope to purchase a unit by summer.
