Fireworks start tree fire near residential area in Yuma

YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) – Police arrested a suspect they say set off fireworks that caused several trees near a residential area to catch fire on December 24, 2012.

Yuma Fire Department tells KSWT News 13 that luckily, flames did not spread to nearby homes.

They responded to the area at about 8:00 p.m. and extinguished the burning palm trees when they responded to the area near Athens Avenue and Rome Street.
