Mexicali--Mexican police found a partially constructed drug tunnel near the U.S. border in Mexicali.

Police said the tunnel was presumably being built by drug traffickers.

Mexicali's police chief said the drug tunnel was found in a joint operation with the Mexican Army.

Authorities said the tunnel is nearly 33 feet deep, 98 feet long and nearly 2 feet wide.

The illegal tunnel has cement walls, lighting and even a ventilation system.

The tunnel was built inside a warehouse in downtown Mexicali and was found thanks to an anonymous tip.

Unconfirmed media reports said a suspect was arrested at the site.
