Flu is now widespread

YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - Arizona is one of the 47 states where the flu is widespread.

That has prompted the Yuma Regional Medical Center to place restrictions on who is allowed to visit patients.

YRMC is asking people to stay home if they have the flu or are suffering from flu-like symptoms, and not to visit patients at the hospital.

The Yuma County Public Health Department will offer the influenza shot at the Health District, located at 2200 W. 28th Street.

The vaccine costs $10.00 for anyone younger than 18 years old and $25.00 for people over 18. If you have Medicare Part B or AHCCCS, remember to bring your card and a photo ID.
