Posted: Updated:

PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix radio personality has died in Arizona shortly after contracting flu-like symptoms while visiting Florida during the holidays.

ABC15 News reports ( ) Stephen Seravalli died at his Phoenix home late Saturday or early Sunday. He was 38.

Operations director Marc Young of Phoenix-based Riviera Broadcasting confirmed Seravalli's death, but had no additional information.

Seravalli, known as Deejay Trauma on Phoenix's Power 98.3, had previously worked at WiLD 94.1 in Tampa Bay from 1999 to 2008. Former colleagues say they saw Seravalli just a few weeks ago before he returned to Arizona with what he thought was a bad case of the flu.

An autopsy is planned.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Jan. 22 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
