YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is still looking for a missing elderly man who suffers from Alzheimer's disease.
Deputies are still searching for 82-year-old Laurence "Jack" Doering.
Today, Doering's son, Paul, came to
our studio from Washington
State to share additional
information about his father.
He is asking people in the area to
be on the lookout for him.
"He doesn't really know very many
people anymore. He doesn't know me or the other family members, except for my
mother," Paul said of his father's Alzheimer's disease.
Paul says his mother is waiting and
worried here in Yuma,
where the couple spends their winters.
Doering has been missing for more
than a week now.
He may be driving a gold and tan
Chevrolet Suburban with Idaho
license plates that read "4BB8469."
YCSO tells KSWT News 13 they have received possible sighting tips from people but have not been able to locate him yet.
Three people reported seeing Doering near the Foothills. One person reported a possible sighting near Wellton.
Deputies say he was last seen at the Foothills Plaza shopping center near South Frontage Road and Foothills Boulevard at 9:45 am.
Doering is about 6'1" and 170 pounds. He has grey hair and blue eyes.
