(KSWT News 13) - Sheriff's investigators are still investigating the cause of death of a woman found dead near Calipatria,
California.
Imperial County Deputy Coroner
Rodolfo Barron says an autopsy determined alcohol was involved, but they are waiting for
toxicology results to determine what killed 49-year-old Diana Mclead.
Barron says it appears McLead, who is from Riverside, California,
was in an argument with a friend and walked away from the car they were driving
in.
The cold weather that night may have also
affected her.
Her body was found on the side of the Sinclair Road near
Highway 111 on Thursday.
Deputy Barron also tells KSWT News 13 there were
no wounds on the body or sign of foul play.
The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Coroner's Office at (760) 339-6328 or the Sheriff's Office Brawley substation at (760) 351-2861.
