BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a 15-year-old student has been arrested at a high school east of Los Angeles for carrying ammunition, and a handgun of the same caliber was later found at his home.
School district police Capt. Jill Poe tells the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/146WaHm) that the boy was arrested after officials at Baldwin Park High School got an anonymous tip Wednesday and officers found him with a magazine with .40-caliber bullets.
Poe says officers were allowed to search the boy's home and found a .40-caliber handgun.
The boy's name was not released and it was not immediately clear what charges he could face.
