YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - Yuma police has lifted a lockdown on three schools after they received a false report of a student bringing a gun to Yuma High School.
Right now, police tell KSWT News 13 there was no gun found at the school and students are no longer on lockdown.
It happened around 12:28 pm, early this afternoon, when a student reported seeing another student with a gun at Yuma High School, located at 400 S 6th Ave.
Officers put Yuma High School students on lockdown and searched the school. No gun was found.
Police also placed Fourth Avenue Junior High School and Mary E. Post School on lockdown as a precaution.
Police say that after searching the school and conducting an investigation, they determined no gun was ever brought to campus and that it was a false report.
Police lifted the lockdown within 10 to 15 minutes.
A school officer is still on campus.
