Woman faces attempted murder for shooting husband

WELLTON, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - A woman who shot her husband in the chest now faces attempted murder charges.

Police say 58-year-old Gail Eldridge shot her husband Scott after the two got into a fight at their home in Wellton yesterday evening.

When officers arrived, they found Scott with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Paramedics rushed Scott to Yuma Regional Medical Center where he is now listed in stable condition.

Eldridge also faces additional charges of aggravated assault and endangerment.

She is being held on $500,000 bond and is due back in court next week.
