SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – There was an unusual armed robbery at a burger restaurant early Thursday morning. Authorities say the suspect asked for a job, before holding up the place.
Apparently the suspect went through the drive-thru and asked for work at the Rally's restaurant in the 8700 block of Jamacha Road around 1:30 a.m.
Employees told him to come back the next day, so the suspect left. But just a few minutes later he came back and brought a gun.
Deputies say the suspect got away with cash, but no one was hurt.
He's described as black, in his mid-20's with a thin build and a full beard.
Anyone with information is asked to call the San Diego Sheriff's Department.
