F-35s Grounded Again

YUMA – (KSWT News 13) - CNN is reporting the military's newest, state-of-the-art joint strike fighter has been grounded again.

They say the U.S. military grounded the F-35 fighter jet today due to a crack in an engine component that was discovered during a routine inspection in California.

The Pentagon says it's too early to assess the impact on the nearly $400 billion fleet of jets designed for use by the Navy, Air Force and Marines.

KSWT is reaching out to officials at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma for further details on the grounding and the impact it will have locally.

We'll continue to bring you details as they become available.
