PHOENIX (AP) - Tempe police still are trying to identify the body of a man pulled from a canal.
Detectives say they're working on all potential leads to figure out how the man wound up in the Western Canal, including comparing the body's physical description to missing person reports.
Police say the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to identify the body and determine the cause and manner of death.
The Arizona Republic says a bicyclist spotted the man's body at about 4 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the body was clothed, but didn't have a wallet or other identifying items.
They say the body appeared to have been in the 10- to 12-foot water for at least 24 hours.
