YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT News 13) - You will once again be seeing the military's newest fighter jet soar through the skies of Yuma.
Tonight the Pentagon lifted an order that briefly grounded its fleet of F-35 fighter jets last week.
The Pentagon said all 51 planes had been cleared to resume flight operations.
The jets were grounded last Thursday after the discovery of a small crack in the engine of one F-35 at Edwards Air Force Base in California.
Prolonged exposure to high levels of heat and other unspecific stressors were determined to be the cause of the crack.
